With a large and highly customisable set of key features coupled with a standards compliant interface, phpBB will grow with, and complement your website. The OpenCrypt membership software integrates with phpBB to enable all account management to be managed by OpenCrypt. This gives you extended control over your custom form fields and registration process, and enables you to charge for membership.
 
The plugin integrates phpBB with OpenCrypt so all user management and registration is handled by OpenCrypt. Simply, OpenCrypt manages the user database and for example, the phpBB signup form is replaced with the OpenCrypt registration form. The plugin also replaces phpBB's lost password facility, account modification facility and login form which are replaced by OpenCrypt's more comprehensive facilities.
 
Using the OpenCrypt registration form enables us to collect more comprehensive custom form field data and to charge for membership. It also allows us to sell additional products and integrate the registration process with a shopping cart.
 
The plugin also integrates the login systems so users only need to login once to access phpBB, OpenCrypt and any content that is being secured by OpenCrypt.
 
None of the features offered by phpBB are limited, users simply register and update their account using the OpenCrypt membership software, from the user's point of view the integration is seamless.
