Joomla is an award-winning content management system (CMS), which enables you to build web sites and powerful online applications. Many aspects, including its ease-of-use and extensibility, have made Joomla the most popular web site software available. Best of all, Joomla is an open source solution that is freely available to everyone. The OpenCrypt membership software integrates with Joomla to enable all account management to be managed by OpenCrypt. This gives you extended control over your custom form fields and registration process, and enables you to charge for membership and control what content each membership group can view.
 
The plugin integrates Joomla with OpenCrypt so all user management and registration is handled by OpenCrypt. Using the OpenCrypt registration form enables us to collect more comprehensive custom form field data and to charge for membership. It also allows us to sell additional products and integrate the registration process with a shopping cart.
 
The plugin also integrates the login systems so users only need to login to OpenCrypt or Joomla to view any content that is being secured in Joomla or with OpenCrypt.
 
The plugin also enables you to include [-OPENCRYPT-] content security tags in your pages and posts to group text, this text is then hidden from users who are not logged in. This enables you to show article introductions with 'read more' links which require the user to register - logged in users are automatically shown the full article. The content security tags offer features so you can secure content elements for individual or multiple memberships groups or you can simply secure content for all your users. The content security tags also enable you to secure content with a time delay so the content only becomes available after a set period of time, for example when the user has been registered for 30 or more days. OpenCrypt's WordPress Plugin consists of four Joomla plugins and one Joomla module, the four plugins manage different aspects of the login integration and the content security whilst the module replaces Joomla's login module with a customised version to work with OpenCrypt's login system, OpenCrypt also receives numerous enhancements to integrate the login system and database. The functionality of the Joomla system is not affected in any way and other plugins will continue to work as normal, the only restriction is that any users should be managed via the OpenCrypt administration panel rather than the Joomla user management functions. The Joomla registration form, account modification form and lost password form are all replaced by OpenCrypt's all of which are seemlessly integrated.
